Chic Fall Makeup Recs

One of my favorite things about a new season is finding little ways to refresh my routine. Fall is the perfect time to experiment with different colors, textures and finishes, whether that means reaching for a deeper lip shade, trying a softer eye look or switching up my usual blush. You don't need to completely overhaul your makeup bag to make things feel new, either, because a few changes can be just enough.

Skin That Looks Like Skin

While many people tend to change their foundations each season, I'm not planning on doing that just because the weather is getting colder. I want my skin to look fresh and natural, with enough coverage to even out my complexion without hiding it completely. The trick is to apply a thin layer of foundation and add a little extra only where you need it, rather than covering your entire face, and that is why I recommend Tower 28 Swipe Serum Foundation. It's designed to
offer buildable coverage with a lightweight, natural-looking finish, which is exactly what I'm after for everyday makeup.

Blurred Berry Lips

Berry lipstick is one of those fall classics I look forward to bringing back every autumn, but this season, I'd wear it with softer edges rather than a perfectly defined outline. I just concentrate the color in the centre of the lips and gently blend it out with my fingertip for that just-bitten effect.
The REFY Lip Blur Lip Liner is one of the best products if you want to try the trend without too much effort, but I'd go for a rosy brown or deeper berry shade.

A Little Frosty Shimmer

I'm not usually someone who reaches for glitter on an ordinary day, but I do like a little shimmer when the weather gets colder. A pearly finish on the eyelids, a subtle highlight on the cheekbones or a glossy lip can make your makeup look a little more interesting. The Kosas Shiny Objects Wet Glisten Highlighter Powder in Haloed is one product I'd consider for this, cause I just apply a little to the high points of the face or the inner corners of the eyes, and keep everything else lowkey. It's also a great product if you want to experiment with the frosted
makeup trend before party season really begins.

One Good Lipstick Is Sometimes Enough

I feel like every woman needs a signature lipstick for the fall season, and for me that is always a deep burgundy, chocolate brown or rich berry shade that can make a simple look feel much more considered, even if all you're wearing is mascara and a little concealer. For something that feels more subtle than a traditional matte lipstick, I'd try VIOLETTE Bisou Balm in Chocolat, because it has that perfect sheer, soft-matte finish that will make it look like its just your lips, but prettier.

A Little Rosy Blush

This fall, the no-blush trend is everywhere, but I think I will forever be sticking to just a little of that rose glow on my cheeks. Rosy shades work beautifully with the season's neutral outfits and deeper lip colors, without making the whole look feel too dramatic, and the Saie Supersuede Radiant Baked Powder Blush in Ma Donna has been my go-to choice ever since I tried it.

A Hint of Blue

I know blue eyeshadow has been the it makeup product this fall, but that is not something that looks useful or adaptable to my everyday routine. However, if you also do not want to delve that much into blue, then a blue eyeliner is a fun alternative to the usual brown and black, and I really liked this Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liner. You can keep it simple by tracing the upper lash line with a navy or cobalt pencil, then pairing it with nude lips and a fresh complexion.
