Secrets to a Fresh and Glowy Makeup Look
As a fashion and beauty influencer, it’s my job to constantly test new products and trends. But no matter how many new trends I try, I always come back to the same core looks.

Since I am a brunette with olive skin, I’ve learned that bronze, peach, and golden hues bring out my natural glow. When I pair these tones with earthy colors they make me look fresh and bright.
However, I also have a few tricks that never disappoint me and make every makeup look flawless.

Contouring is Essential
I love looking bronzed and sculpted, but I’m also very strict about sun protection. Since my face is always a little paler than I’d like, contouring is my way of adding that color. Every makeup artist I worked with knows that.

No matter which type of makeup I go for: espresso, latte, blush blindness, strawberry makeup, or any other type, my skin tone needs to be adjusted.
These are the products I love and my makeup artist swears by them:
Eyes or Lips - Never both
I pretty much always stick to this rule: highlight either the eyes or the lips, but not both.
Most days, you’ll see me wearing my signature ’90s lip combo (read my full lip routine here), but occasionally, I’ll add a bold red lipstick. If I do that, I keep my eyes simple with just mascara.
Since I have deep-set eyes, many shades work for me, but my go-tos are:
- Dark green (enhances my hazel tones)
- Brown in all variations
- Beige neutrals
The base is everything
If your skin doesn’t look hydrated and healthy, your makeup won't either. Even with acne or pigmentation, good skin prep makes all the difference.
Here’s what I do before any full-face glam:
- The night before - glycolic acid peel + a hydrating sheet mask
- On the day of - cleanse, apply moisturizer, then start with makeup
