5 Most Interesting Trends From Men's Fashion Week

While womenswear usually gets most of the attention, I think men’s fashion week is actually where we can spot some of the coolest trends starting to appear.
After looking through the latest fashion week shows, I picked out 5 trends that I think even girls will be wearing next season.

1. We will be showing more skin

Although menswear has traditionally been pretty focused on covering up, designers seem to be more open to experimenting with men's fashion. We saw more open shirts, sheer fabrics, fitted tops, and pieces that highlight the body instead of hiding it, and I believe all of this will have its moment in women's fashion too. It’s less about following strict rules and more about feeling
confident in what you wear, and although I am not a big fan of it, I still think we need to be bolder with our fashion choices.

2. The preppy style is making a comeback

Classic preppy style is back, but it doesn’t look exactly like it did before. Designers are bringing back pieces like rugby shirts, blazers, polos, and college-style pieces, but styled in a more fresh and playful way. It gives vintage vibes, but with a modern twist to the pieces we all know too well, and probably already have in our closet. All my fashion girlies will definitely love this one as it is very simple and comfortable, but still chic, and I bet there are some pieces in your dad’s, brother’s, or boyfriend’s wardrobe you can steal to get this look!

3. The outfits are getting slimmer

After years of oversized everything dominating fashion, we’re starting to see designers experiment with sharp and more fitted silhouettes again - and I am living for this moment. This was especially obvious at the Prada show, which focused on clean, sleek outfits, and I believe this idea will translate to their women's collections too. This trend is not necessarily about going
back to super skinny jeans, but about finding balance and creating a little more shape in your outfits. I think this trend will be interesting because it feels like fashion is moving between two worlds right now: oversized streetstyle comfort and more fitted, polished, luxury pieces.

4. We will all be wearing shorts

For a very long time, shorts were seen as the “easy and too casual” summer option, something you throw on without thinking too much. But this season, designers made it one of the key pieces of their collections, and they were styled with both button-down shirts and more elegant pieces. I personally have been loving this trend for a while, and I find shorts to be a very versatile piece you can style from day to night, and with the right design and materials, they can be the star of your outfit.

5. Tailoring is becoming more relaxed

Suits and ties are still here, but tailoring as we know it is changing. Instead of the super structured, traditional suits we’re used to seeing, designers are focusing on pieces that feel much easier to wear. We saw lightweight fabrics, softer shapes, relaxed jackets, and breathable materials that make the suit look a lot more comfortable. Linen pieces and loose, effortless tailoring will be having their moment, and I will be the first one to hop on this trend!
