Accessories I Will Be Wearing The Whole Summer

Every summer, I end up building my outfits around accessories more than anything else. Most of the time, it’s the accessories that completely change the look and make everything feel more styled and personal.
These are just some of the accessories I already know I’ll be reaching for all summer long.

Raffia Bags

I feel like no summer outfit feels complete without a raffia bag, and they have been one of the main summer trends for years now. They make an outfit look more relaxed and put together at the same time, even if you’re just wearing a simple linen dress or oversized shirt. I especially love the newer versions with leather details and more structured shapes because they feel less beach only and more suitable for wearing in the city too.

Chunky Jewelry

There’s something about chunky cuffs, oversized earrings, and sculptural necklaces on tanned skin that just works - and I love when jewelry does that click-clack sound! I’ve especially been loving jewelry that feels slightly nostalgic, like shells, charms, tassels, and bold pendants that almost look like pieces you
collected during travels.

Fish Scales & Paillettes

I love summer accessories that feel a little more playful. Fish scale-inspired textures, shimmering paillettes, and glossy finishes have been everywhere for the past year, and they are one of the coolest additions to summer pieces. Whether it’s a sparkly pouch or colorful heels, it will instantly make even the most simple outfit feel more fun. They definitely fall into the category of accessories that do all the talking for you, but I would keep these pieces for night-out outfit combos.

Classic Black Sunglasses

Even though chunky frames and bold sunglasses seem to come back into trend every single summer, I always find myself going back to simple black sunglasses. They go with everything and just make every outfit look elegant, even at the beach. There’s something very timeless and slightly old-Hollywood about them that never really goes out of style. Whether I’m wearing swimwear, linen trousers, or a very simple dress, classic black sunnies are probably the one accessory I reach for the most every summer.
