Best Color Combinations To Wear This Fall
Autumn usually brings us back to the same colors: brown, burgundy, cream and black. This season, I decided that I want to have a little more fun with my wardrobe and experiment with some new combinations. So, from easy classics like navy and camel to bolder combinations like red and purple, these are the color pairings you will be seeing on me this fall.
Cobalt blue and butter yellow
This fall, I am steering away from classics and trying something a bit more interesting. Cobalt blue and butter yellow might sound like an unusual pairing for autumn, but that contrast is exactly what makes it work. The bright blue brings that energy you may have thought we left in the summer, while the soft yellow takes some of the intensity out of it.
This doesn't mean you have to go for color blocking from head to toe, either. Try a cobalt knit with a butter-yellow accessory or introduce the yellow through shoes or a bag.

Red and blue
Another colorful combination I am keeping an eye on this season is red and blue. The trick here is choosing the right shades - a cool, denim-like blue with strawberry or tomato red feels much fresher than simply putting two primary colors together. It is playful, but still surprisingly wearable. For everyday outfits, I would keep the blue as the dominant color and use red as the accent, for example denim jeans, a blue shirt or a navy coat with a red bag, shoes or knit.

Red and purple
Well, this color combo is already everywhere and autumn did not even come officially. Instead of treating purple as a soft or traditionally feminine color, pairing it with a strong red makes the whole look feel much more modern and urban, which I believe is the reason why it blew up this season. The combination has already been gaining momentum, with Dua Lipa wearing grape purple with cherry-red accessories, while designers including Balenciaga, Carolina Herrera and
Stella McCartney showed the color duo on the runway. If wearing both colors at once feels like too much, start small! A purple cardigan with a red bag is enough, or you can try a burgundy-red skirt with a deeper purple knit.

Olive and Charcoal
If you love wearing neutrals but feel like black, beige and grey are starting to get a little predictable, try olive with charcoal. Olive has that muted, earthy quality that feels perfect for autumn, while charcoal gives it a cooler, more polished finish. I especially love this combination for everyday outfits because neither color feels too loud, but together they look much more interesting than your usual neutral pairing.
