How To Style A Scarf During Summer

If you have a scarf hiding somewhere in your closet, this is your sign to bring it back out this summer. A simple silk scarf can make even your everyday outfits feel more styled, and the best part is that there are so many ways to wear it.
These are some of my favorite styling tricks that make this piece feel fun and new again!

Wear it as a headscarf

This is probably my favorite and easiest summer styling trick. Not only does it look incredibly chic, but it's also perfect for those warm days when your hair isn't cooperating. I love pairing a printed scarf with an otherwise neutral outfit because it instantly adds personality without trying too hard.

Wear It As A Headscarf

Tie it around your waist

Belts do not have to be boring, especially in the summer. Thread a scarf through your belt loops or simply tie it around your waist over jeans, shorts, or linen trousers. I especially love combining a colorful scarf with jeans and a simple ribbed tank because it adds the right pop of color.

Around Waist

Let it peek out of your pocket

This is a really cool detail that I don't see people adding to their fits often. Tuck part of your scarf into your back pocket or tie it onto a belt loop for an effortless, French feel. It's one of my favorite styling tricks for those casual summer outfits for extremely hot days.

Peek Out Of Pocket

Tie it around your ponytail

I don't know why everyone tends to forget the importance of hair accessories, especially in the summer, when I am pretty sure you want your hair out of your face most of the time. Wrapping a scarf around a ponytail or messy bun instantly makes your hairstyle look way more stylish and cool, and you can always find a scarf that matches the vibe of your outfit. It is also very feminine, playful, and honestly takes less than 30 seconds.

Hair Tie

Turn it into a top

One of the coolest things about a larger silk scarf is that it can double as a top, and it is a perfect solution for those days when you feel like you have already worn everything a 100 times.
Fold it into a bandeau, tie it as a halter, or wear it as a tube top with linen trousers, denim shorts, or a maxi skirt. It's also the ultimate packing hack for summer holidays because one accessory suddenly becomes a completely new outfit.
