How to Style the White Shirt This Spring

There is one piece I always rely on when spring comes around, and it is a white shirt. It might feel basic, but it is actually one of the most versatile things you can own.
Here is how I am experimenting with this piece.

Slightly undone, very casual

This is one of those looks that feels very “I just threw this on” but still looks really good. I like wearing a white shirt slightly open and loose over wide-leg trousers, almost like it is not fully styled on purpose.
Nothing too perfect here is the goal. Just easy sandals or loafers and minimal jewelry. It is one of those outfits that always looks cool without trying too hard, especially during the spring days.

With a Dramatic Skirt

If you want to make the white shirt feel a bit more fashion-forward, pair it with something dramatic on the bottom. A colorful skirt, something satin, or even a sheer maxi completely changes the vibe.
The shirt kind of balances everything out so it does not feel too much, but that contrast will make the outfit interesting. It always ends up looking way more styled than it actually is.

Paired with a statement belt

I have been really into this lately because it just makes a white shirt feel like a whole outfit. If you are wearing an oversized shirt, especially something long enough to almost feel like a dress, a statement belt changes everything.
It gives you shape straight away and makes it feel way more styled without you actually doing much. I am love adding bold buckles, gold details, or even something that looks a bit vintage.

In preppy style

That preppy, ‘90s way of wearing a white shirt will always look cool to me. A crisp button-down with a tie, a sweater over the shoulders, and socks with heels, maybe even a tie. It looks like you put in a lot of effort, but in real life it is actually pretty easy. I believe this is the type of look that works anywhere and that I can wear to both Fashion Week and brunch with my friends.
