Jewelry Trends We Will Be Wearing This Fall

If there’s one thing that can completely transform a simple fall outfit, it’s jewelry. Once we start layering up in coats, sweaters, shirts, and all those pieces we wait for cooler weather to wear, it’s often the accessories that make the biggest difference. Here are the trends I’ll definitely be incorporating into my style this fall.

Long necklaces

Chloé made long necklaces one of the key accessories of its Fall/Winter collection, pairing them with talismans and pendants that looked as though they had been discovered at an antique market. Chanel and Valentino took a similar approach with long chains, medallions and pendants worn effortlessly over dresses and knitwear. What I love most about this trend is how easy it is to wear, and you can just throw a long necklace over a simple sweater or turtleneck and suddenly the entire outfit feels way cooler. I feel like this is the type of accessory women who wear The Row would wear!

Chunky bangles

If you like your jewelry to actually make a statement, you’ll be happy to know that chunky pieces are staying around for fall. Oversized beads, sculptural bracelets and chunky resin bangles are all adding plenty of texture and personality to otherwise simple looks, and that's why they are the perfect match for this season. I especially love the idea of pairing one bold bracelet with a very simple and minimalistic outfit.

Statement brooch

I know brooches might not be the first thing you think of when you hear “cool jewelry”, but hear me out. This fall, I’m expecting to see them everywhere again, particularly oversized, vintage- looking styles pinned onto coats, blazers and chunky knits. It has been present on plenty of new shows this year, so this is definitely not an accessory reserved for older chic ladies! One beautiful vintage-inspired brooch on a simple black coat can be enough to make the whole outfit feel completely different.

Mixing metals is officially allowed
