My Favorite Met Gala Looks Of All Time
It is Met Gala season again, and I always find myself going back to my favorite looks from over the years. These are the ones that have really stayed with me, whether it is because they surprised me, inspired me, or just had that rare kind of magic that makes you look twice and never forget them!

Zendaya’s 2024 Met Gala look is the definition of an unforgettable Met Gala outfit. The theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”, but she completely transformed it into something darker and more cinematic with this Maison Margiela dress by John Galliano.
What made the whole look impossible to ignore was the makeup that looked completely haunting and dramatic.

Tyla’s look made me do a double-take - a dress made out of sand shouldn’t work, but it did! It fit her perfectly and flowed into that soft mermaid train, and I couldn’t stop watching how it moved.
What I loved the most was how creative this Balmain piece was! It felt so fresh and different that it actually made me stop for a second, and that is exactly the kind of Met Gala look that you will remember forever.

Blake Lively’s Versace dress is one of those outfits everyone thinks about even years later. She perfectly emulated the spirit of Old Hollywood and looked like a red-carpet star from another era. However, the moment that stole the show was the transformation of the dress! When the gown shifted to reveal a hidden teal skirt with landmarks of New York, I was blown away.

Naomi Campbell’s 1995 Met Gala Versace look is one I always come back to when I think about pure glamour. She was not trying to be subtle in any way - and I honestly love her for that. It feels so unapologetic and confident, in that very Naomi way. The whole ultra-sparkly gown was just designed to be the centre of attention. I really like how she didn’t over-style it either, just a pair of matching pumps and nothing else getting in the way of the dress.

Princess Diana made just one appearance at the Met Gala, and it was in this very simple but powerful Dior slip dress. I think that the strength and beauty she radiates have made her one of the most memorable people on the red carpet, even though she probably had one of the simplest looks. I also really love the matching Lady Dior bag, especially knowing it was named after her. It makes the whole look feel more personal, like a subtle connection between her and Dior without needing anything obvious.
