Summer Color Combos I've Been Really Into Lately
Every summer I tell myself I’m going to wear more color and then somehow I end up in the same loop of white shirts, black tanks, and beige trousers again. It’s easy, it always looks fine, but after a while it just starts to feel a bit repetitive, you know?
This year’s summer collections really pushed me to explore more colorful outfit combinations, and these are a few I’ll definitely be trying this season.
Burnt orange + cream
I used to think burnt orange was just an autumn thing, but I feel like it will be everywhere this summer. When you pair it with cream or soft white, the whole combo looks really warm and sunlit, like that golden hour light you get right before sunset. Especially in linen fabrics, it just looks effortless without trying too hard.
If you like a neutral color palette but don't want to look boring during the summer, I think this shade of orange gives you a cool pop of color.

Turquoise + chocolate brown
Turquoise is the color of the summer 2026, and it is one of the most perfect tones for hanging out on the seaside. However, I believe it can work perfectly in every setting, especially when it is paired with chocolate brown, because it makes it look less bold and more wearable. It kind of gives me holiday-in-the-sun vibes, but it can work well in a warm city setting, too.

Butter yellow + soft white
Butter yellow is one of those shades that feels soft enough to almost pass as a neutral, but still brings just enough warmth to make an outfit feel fresh. Paired with white or cream, it looks really light and effortless, and it's the kind of combo you can imagine yourself wearing while sipping an Aperol on the Amalfi Coast.
It’s one of the easiest ways to start introducing more color into your wardrobe if you’re not used to it, and definitely a color combo worth trying if you usually stick to neutrals.

Olive green + butter yellow
While I do love these colors separately, I didn’t expect to like them together as much as I do.
Olive green is something I would usually save for late autumns, but butter yellow softens it and makes it feel more summery. Together, these colors make the perfect choice for a casual outfit combo, and I believe it can be accessorized perfectly with some funky summery jewelry.
They also look great in linen and cotton, which is perfect for warm summer days.
