The Stella McCartney x H&M Collection We Have Been Waiting For

The new Stella McCartney x H&M collection feels less like a typical “new drop” and more like a reflection of everything Stella has built over the past 25 years, reworked into something that feels both wearable and more accessible for everyday wardrobes.

While the collection is very chic, there is also something quite nostalgic about it, especially knowing it comes almost 20 years after their first collaboration in 2005. I always find these full- circle moments in fashion interesting because they do not feel like a restart but rather a continuation of a story that has already been unfolding for years.

What I like the most about this collection is that it does not feel like it is trying to reinvent Stella McCartney. If anything, it feels like it is simplifying her world and showing the parts that have always been there.

Her signatures are very clear throughout the collection, but in a really relaxed and effortless way. The tailoring feels sharp yet easy, the oversized shirts have that slightly undone feel, and the trench coats have that timeless shape that just works without needing much thought.

There is also this softer, slightly nostalgic layer running through it, with subtle archive references to Stella's work, like bejewelled prints, slogan tees, and cherry motifs.

Some of my favourites are the ribbed knit dresses and tops finished with Stella’s signature Falabella chain detail. I also love the mesh pieces in bold cherry prints, which add a more playful, unexpected contrast.

And as always with Stella McCartney, sustainability is not treated as an extra detail or a marketing point, it is really built into the foundation of the collection. The pieces are made using organic cotton and recycled materials, showcasing H&M's dedication to more sustainable choices and reflecting the core principles of Stella McCartney.
