Make Cinnamon Rolls in 30 Minutes

Today I was craving cinnamon rolls, but every recipe I found online said I had to wait for 2 hours for the dough to rise, before I can even start making them. Add to that another hour for the preparation and the baking, and half of my day would be gone just making these cinnamon rolls.

Therefore, I decided to see what I have at home and make my own, healthier, version of the recipes I found, and now I am going to share it with you.

For the dough you will need:

  • 2 cups of spelt flour
  • 1 cup of soy yogurt with no added sugar
  • 1 egg

For the filling:

  • 2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp of maple syrup

For the glaze:

  • 2 tbsp protein pudding (I used vanilla flavor)
Cinnamon Rolls

Mix all the dough ingredients together in a bowl and make a ball of dough out if it. Roll it out to a rectangular shape piece, and then put the filling on top, spreading it evenly on the dough.
Once you are done spreading your filling, roll up the dough, and cut it into pieces of similar size that you will put on your pan and bake.
Put the pan with the rolls in the pre-heated oven on 200 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.
After that, take them out of the oven and put some protein pudding over them for some added flavor. I chose vanilla this time and it complemented the cinnamon flavor perfectly.
