The Devil Wears Prada Premiere
Getting invited by Disney to the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 honestly felt a little unreal at first. I remember receiving the news and just sitting there thinking… wait, is this actually happening? And then suddenly I was packing for a 3-day trip to Milan that turned out to be one of the most special experiences I ever had.
The whole idea of the trip wasn’t just the premiere itself, but stepping into the world of Miranda, Andy, and Emily and seeing the actual places where so many scenes were filmed. A big part of the movie was shot in Milan, so everything felt connected and real, in a way that’s hard to describe until you experience it yourself.

Day 1
We started the trip in the most beautiful way possible - on Lake Como. We had a private boat tour, and honestly, it already felt like a movie scene on its own. The water, the mountains, the calm atmosphere… everything was just perfect.
Later, we visited one of the villas on Lake Como that was actually featured in the film. It’s one thing to see it on screen, but completely different to stand there and imagine the scenes happening around you. We ended the tour with a wonderful dinner at the Edition Hotel.

Day 2
The second day was a special Milan experience. We walked through the city visiting all the key filming locations, from the beautiful historical Brera district to the iconic Palazzo Parigi. Every stop came with behind-the-scenes stories about how the scenes were shot, which got me even more excited to actually watch the movie.
One of the highlights of the day was stopping by Tiffany, where we got to try on beautiful jewelry pieces. It felt very true to the film, a little glamorous, a little playful, and very Devil Wears Prada.
And then in the evening, it was time for the red carpet premiere, which was honestly just so exciting. It was one of those moments where you kind of pause and just take it all in.
One of the things that stood out to me the most was that the entire original creative team came back for this second part, from the cast to the producers and everyone behind the scenes. It made it feel like a true extension of something iconic, rather than just another sequel.
I also have to say that I was skeptical, but I really loved the film. It was very funny, but it also had some surprisingly emotional moments that stayed with me longer than I expected.

Day 3
On our last day, we got to visit the Vogue Italia office! We got to see how everything works behind the scenes, how decisions are made, how things come together day to day, and what it’s actually like inside one of the most iconic fashion institutions in the world.
We weren’t allowed to film anything and had to put our phones away, which honestly made a big difference. It kind of forced you to just be there in the moment and take everything in properly, which I really loved.

Looking back, the whole trip felt like stepping into the world of the movie for a few days, from Lake Como to the streets of Milan, the premiere, and everything in between.
It also made me appreciate how much work and detail goes into creating something like this, especially knowing how many of the real locations in Milan ended up shaping the story on screen.
