Workout routine that got me to the best shape of my life
Sport and fitness have always been a big part of my life. I trained volleyball for 10 years, and ever since I was little, I’ve been passionate about physical activity and staying strong and agile. But over the last year, I finally found a routine that works perfectly for me and makes me feel healthy, more confident, and full of energy.
I’ve tried so many different workout styles, but this is the combination that got me to the best shape of my life. It’s simple, effective, and I try sticking to it even when I’m traveling.

Abs First
The very first thing I do when I step into the gym is an abs session. Starting with core exercises lets me prepare my body for the strength exercise and improves my posture. A strong core is the foundation for everything else, from lifting weights to running. (I’ll share my exact abs routine in a separate blog post soon!)
Strength Training: Upper and Lower Body
Strength training is the main part of my fitness routine. I split my workouts into upper body and lower body sessions:
- Upper Body: 2 times per week (focus on arms, shoulders, chest, and back)
- Lower Body: 3 times per week (legs and glutes are always a priority for me)

Incline Walking after every session
After strength training, I go on the treadmill for 15 minutes of fast walking at a high incline. It’s the perfect way to finish my workout and very effective for burning fat and improving endurance.
30-Minute Outdoor Runs
Twice a week, I go for a 30-minute run. Whenever I can, I choose to run outside instead of on a treadmill because there’s something about the fresh air that clears my mind and makes me feel better.

This combination of workouts has truly transformed my body and my mindset. I am leaner, stronger, and more confident than ever before. I am not a personal trainer, and I don’t think everyone should follow this routine. It works for me, and it may end up working for you, but on the other hand, you may enjoy some other activities like swimming and want to incorporate that in your weekly routine. Training routine doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to be suitable for your lifestyle. And when you find a routine that you genuinely enjoy, it doesn’t feel like a burden anymore it becomes something that you look forward to every morning.
